Donate

Many refugees and asylum seekers from Afghanistan have suffered many years of hardship and persecution. Our work is vital to those individuals who find themselves isolated and depressed or confused by complicated systems and procedures, perhaps in a language they do not understand. We rely on the generosity of individuals and organisations to fund our work.

If you wish to donate, please send a cheque, payable to the Afghan Association of London (Harrow), to the Afghan Association, Suite 105, Signal House, 16 Lyon Road, Harrow, Middlesex.

Volunteer

The Afghan Association is a charitable organisation and welcomes the contribution of volunteers. We hope that our volunteers will gain valuable experience and skills from working within our friendly team. Volunteers take on numerous roles at the Afghan Association, including advising clients, administration and office work, as well as teaching English or mother tongue languages to younger members of the community. Training is obviously undergone, where necessary, and we provide lunch and travel expenses.

We have links with work placement agencies such as RETAS and Brent & Harrow Work-placement scheme and are happy to offer work experience placements to students wanting to gain experience of the work place.

To volunteer in either our Harrow or Brent office or to find out more, please call the Harrow office on 0208 8616990.
