We run mother tongue classes every Saturday between 10:00am to 4:00 pm which are held at Harrow High school and we have 94 pupils since we reopened the school in October 2010 .

As you may be aware Ariana School (Pashtoo & Dari) has been established for some time under the supervision of the Afghan Association of London (Harrow) for Afghan children and youth. In addition the School also runs Basic English classes for Afghan Adults that are struggling with Basic English.

The School’s programmes are designed to aid in the preservation of Afghan culture as well as raising awareness amongst the Afghan Community about social live in order to help them integrate into British society in the best way possible.

The Afghan association is running after school classes for those afghan community members to learn their mother tongue (Pashto, Dari) and Basic English.
These classes are running every Saturday at the Harrow high school and in Edgware at 102a Watling Avenue.
As a result , the Afghans involved in our classes will gain a better understanding of their mother tongues, improved literacy and numeracy which will allow the Afghan youths to perform well in school and college, therefore leading to better job prospect.

The Afghan youths will also gain a better insight in how to live a more sociable life, how to behave with regards to both their families and their communities, keep them away from the anti-social environments on the streets and to learn to both cultures.
We have a regular meeting with the parents of our classes attendees to listen to their opinions and also aware them of the progress of their children in our school.  The families are very co-operative and willing to support us in the success of these classes.   
Our classes are available for every one whom willing to join our classes and respect the rule and terms of our school.

We achieve to recruit very skilled teachers who long years of experience of teaching in this field in have pointed them to teach our children.
All of them are our community members and volunteer and also with the help of Harrow volunteer centre we have an experienced English teacher as a volunteer who has long history of teaching of English schools and colleges for our Basic English class.
